HALIFAX SMALL BUSINESS WEEK
OCTOBER 17-23, 2021
Small Business Week is an annual celebration of Canadian entrepreneurship. Canadian Small Business Week takes place during the third week of October every year. Events held during the week are designed to bring together entrepreneurs – and those who support them – at workshops, networking events, showcases and trade shows across the country. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Small Business Week 2020 was held entirely online for the first time ever.
COVID-19 has caused one of the most important economic crises in history. In this unprecedented context, Canadian entrepreneurs have once again shown their courage and ability to adapt. This year for Small Business Week, we are taking the time to recognize their resilience, trying to understand what has changed for Canadian businesses and looking to build for the future in these uncertain times.
Why should we celebrate
Small Business Week?
This year, celebrating and supporting small businesses is more important than ever before.
Small-to-Medium sized businesses are the foundation of the Canadian economy, accounting for 99.7% of all businesses.
That’s a lot of businesses to celebrate!
